The Mobile Intel 915PM, also known as Intel 82915PM Graphics and Memory Controller, is part of the Mobile Intel 915 and 910 Express Chipset family. Users can refer to the markings on the motherboard to determine whether or not the laptop uses the Mobile Intel 915PM chipset. The motherboard will have the product name "Mobile Intel 915PM Express Chipset" listed on top of the integrated chipset, as well as the specification number "867706," "867713," "SL8G3" or "SL8G7" listed below the product line.
Compatibility
The Mobile Intel 915PM is compatible with the Intel Pentium M and Intel Celeron M family of processors. Other processor families will not work with the chipset. The Mobile Intel 915PM can support processors with a clock speed as high as 2.26GHz.
Features
The Mobile Intel 915PM chipset does not include integrated graphics and does not support dual displays or error-correcting code memory. The chipset processes up to two memory channels of 2GB of memory at a bandwidth of 8.5GB per second maximum. The chipset supports processors with a front-side bus speed of 400MHz or 533 MHz.
