The Compaq Evo N1000c is a laptop computer manufactured by Compaq, which is now a division of Hewlett-Packard. The Evo N1000c comes with Windows XP pre-installed. Windows XP has a lock feature for preventing unauthorized access to your computer while you are away from the machine. This is useful if you work in an open environment where you cannot always control who has access to your computer. You can unlock Windows XP by simply entering your login credentials.
