The HP w2207h is a 22-inch wide-screen flat panel monitor designed and manufactured by Hewlett-Packard. The monitor is equipped with a thin film transistor screen and LCD display. It can support VGA and HDMI inputs and has built-in speaker units. Using the HP w2207h properly requires installing and setting up the unit with the correct cables and drivers.
Instructions
1. Unpack the HP w2207h monitor from the original packaging. Ensure the computer is turned off before installing.
2. Lay the monitor flat with the screen side up; rotate the screen to a horizontal position, while holding the base of the monitor and lifting up. Remove the shipping strap located on the base. Lift and lower the base hinge for the desired viewing angle. Place the monitor upright on a level surface near the computer.
3. Connect the VGA cable or HDMI cable to the back of the monitor. Plug the opposite end of the appropriate cable to the back of the computer. If you choose to use the HDMI cable, your computer must be equipped with an HDMI video card.
4. Attach the audio cable to ensure the built-in speakers work properly. Connect one end of the audio cable to the back of the monitor, and connect the opposite end to the back of the computer console.
5. Plug the power cord into the back of the monitor. Plug the other end into a grounded electrical outlet.
6. Update your computer drivers if necessary. Turn on the computer and allow it to boot. Place the driver CD into the computer CD drive. The driver menu will automatically load. Select the language and click "Next." Click "Install Monitor Driver Software" and follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, restart your computer. The monitor is now installed and ready for use.
