Update the BIOS on a Gigabyte Motherboard
Gigabyte is a well-known and respected computer OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Their product lineup includes everything from motherboards to graphics cards. Gigabyte provides timely and effective motherboard updates in their executable BIOS update files. Gigabyte's Windows level BIOS update utility allows for the computer users to remain within the Windows environment while updating their motherboard's BIOS. This process greatly simplifies the overall steps required to update the BIOS so that even beginning computer users can maintain a fully updated motherboard.
Instructions
1. Double-left-click the Gigabyte motherboard @BIOS program.
2. Click the "Save current BIOS to file" button to back up the current version of the BIOS.
3. Click either the "Update BIOS from Gigabyte Server" or "Update BIOS from file" button.
4. Select the server from which you wish to download the file or run the BIOS update, then select the exact motherboard model name and revision number shown on the motherboard.
5. Accept the end-user license agreement if prompted.
6. Confirm that you wish to update the firmware.
7. Restart the computer upon successful completion of the firmware update. This allows the changes to take effect. Do not restart the computer until the update program is specifically tells you to. Overall, this process should take less than 10 minutes.
