Information On Ibm Pc Motherboard Ms7024 Ver 0e

The MS-7024 had two slots for RAM modules.


The MS-7024 was a motherboard made for IBM/Lenovo ThinkCentre A50 and S50 desktop computer models. The system board was made by Microstar International Ltd. (MSI). The ThinkCentre A50 and S50 were ultra small form factor computers.


Processor


The MS-7024 motherboard supported Intel Prescott or Northwood Pentium 4 processors. These processors had clock speeds of 3.0 GHz and up.


Chipset


The system chipset for this motherboard was Intel Springdale GMCH North Bridge and Intel ICH5 South Bridge. The integrated features for the chipset included AC '97 audio codec AD1981B, FWH EEPROM BIOS, 10/100 integrated LAN and a Cypress CY28405 system clock.


Memory


The MS-7024 had two slots for DDR RAM memory modules. The board supported either DDR 400 MHz PC-3200 or DDR 333 MHz PC-2700 memory speeds. The board supported up to 2 GB of RAM.


Input/Output Ports


The MS-7024 had one PCI type II or III slot. The motherboard had four USB connectors. Other ports included SATA and ATA/IDE connectors, serial and parallel ports, audio line in and out ports, monitor, keyboard and mouse ports.


Version Changes


The version number 0E indicated that there were previous versions with slight changes made to each: 0A, 0B, 0C and 0D. According to MSI, the changes included changing front four-port USB to two-port, adding two USB ports to rear and changing secondary Slim IDE bay to IBM Ultrabay Slim and Ultrabay Enhanced.
