Information On An Msi K9n Neo Motherboard

The K9N Neo motherboard can support up to four Serial ATA devices.


The K9N Neo is a motherboard made by Micro-Star International. This system board is a desktop ATX form factor board. According to MSI, the K9N Neo is available for purchase from many retailers.


Processor


The K9N Neo can support AMD Athlon 64 X2, Sempron and Athlon 64 processors that fit the AM2 socket. The chipset for the motherboard is the NVIDIA nForce 550 Chipset.


FSB


The front side bus (FSB) for this motherboard features HyperTransport technology that can support speeds up to 1GHz or 2000 megatransfers per second.


Memory


The K9N Neo motherboard can support four DDR2 RAM modules. The speeds supported are 533MHz, 667MHz or 800MHz. The maximum RAM this motherboard can support is 4GB (four 1GB RAM modules).


Drive Bays


The K9N Neo can support up to two IDE/Ultra DMA devices. The system board also has four Serial ATA ports that support data transfers up to 3 gigabits per second. A floppy drive connection is also available on this board.


Ports and Slots


The K9N Neo board has many ports and slots, including seven USB 2.0 ports, one parallel port, one serial port (COM1), two PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, audio jacks, RJ-45 LAN port, one PCI Express x16 slot and two PCI Express x1 slots.
