The Specifications for a Dell Latitude LS
Making its debut in 2000, the Dell Latitude LS was a laptop PC with a 12.1-inch screen from Texas-based computer technology company Dell, Inc. It was notable for being a notebook-a smaller version of a laptop-designed as an ultra portable model, weighing about 3 lb.
CPU Specs
Each Dell Latitude LS came with an Intel Mobile Pentium III processor. Installed system memory was 64, 128, or 256 megabytes (MB). However, users could expand the system memory to the maximum capacity of 256 MB.
Communications Specs
Integrated NeoMagic controllers-the AC'97-compliant NMG5 and the 2.5-MB NM2200-provided the audio and video capabilities of the Dell Latitude LS, respectively. Dell measured the maximum resolution at 800 by 600 pixels in SVGA (Super Video Graphics Array) for the computer's screen display. Also included on the LS was a v.90 56k modem and a 10/100 Ethernet interface for data transfer and networking capabilities.
Physical Specs
The Dell Latitude LS measured 1.01 inches in height, 10.7 inches in width and 8.66 inches in length. Its ports included an IDE connector to connect an external drive; parallel, serial, SVGA, RJ-11, RJ-45 and PS/2 connectors; USB port; and jacks for microphone and headphones/speakers.
