Msi G31mf Motherboard Specifications

The MSI G31M-F brand motherboard represents a starting point for building a complete desktop computer. The motherboard uses the LGA775 processor socket and can accommodate a wide range of processors manufactured by Intel. The motherboard also uses a traditional industry standard Micro ATX form factor and is expandable with various upgrades.


CPU Socket and Processor Support


The motherboard uses an LGA775 socket, which supports a wide range of Intel CPUs, including the Core 2 Quad and Duo lines, the P4 500 and 600 lines, the Pentium D 800 and 900 lines, and the Celeron D line. Each of these CPUs represent an entire line of Intel processors, each with their own specific models. For example, a Pentium D 820 CPU.


Bus Speed


The front side bus of this motherboard can be selected manually in the BIOS, or automatically chosen by the installed CPU. The motherboard supports front side bus speeds of 1,066 and 1,333 MHz.


Memory Support


The motherboard features two DDR2 memory slots, supporting 800 MHz RAM and as much as 4 GB of total memory.


Integrated Components


The motherboard features an integrated video chipset, the Intel GMA 3100. It also features integrated eight-channel sound provided by the Realtek ALC888 sound chipset. The motherboard has a gigabit Ethernet port and four rear USB ports.


Slots and Ports


The motherboard features a PCI-E x16 slot, a PCI-E x1 slot and two PCI slots. The motherboard also has an IDE port and four SATA 3.0 ports.
